Welcome to Broomfield House Garden Cottages, your home away from home in the heart of New Zealand’s famous wine country – Marlborough.

We invite you to relax and enjoy a stay in our peaceful garden cottages.

Broomfield House Gardens have been lovingly created over the last 29 years from a Marlborough sheep paddock to the beautiful, lush display of today. Broomfield House is constructed of rammed earth and other materials recycled from historical estates throughout New Zealand.

There are two cottages tucked away within the Broomfield House Gardens offering our guests privacy and peace. You are welcome to wander in the garden, relax, enjoy a picnic lunch or use the spaces however you wish. In November you can stroll through the Wisteria Walk; the scent is simply heavenly.

Many vineyards and wineries are within walking and biking distance.

The stunning Marlborough Sounds is a thirty minute drive from Renwick. Here you can dolphin watch, walk the Queen Charlotte Track, take a fishing trip, swim,relax and enjoy.

It is our pleasure to provide you with a comfortable, relaxed and stress free break in our beautiful region of food, wine, beer, water, walks, fun and more.

Your Choice of Two Cottages

Country Bed & Breakfast or Self-Catered Accommodation

Hidden away in the gardens and grounds of Broomfield House there are two self-contained and private cottages.

Enjoy a breakfast basket of homemade and locally supplied goodies in the privacy of your cottage with fresh coffee / a selection of teas, or self-cater if you prefer. There is an additional charge for a Breakfast Hamper.

Both cottages were relocated from an original wing of one of Marlborough’s early hospitals, Amersfoote. They are beautifully renovated, spacious and positioned for privacy, self-contained, separate lounge with cosy log fire – all your needs, peace and quiet are here for your comfort.

Built from solid native Rimu, Wisteria Cottage is now 50+ years old but lovingly restored and decorated in soft blues, greys and white.

Sleeps 2

Decorated in French country style, Peony Cottage is the perfect base for couples exploring our wine country. Enjoy the log fire during cooler months.

Features & Ameneties

Renwick is in the heart of the Marlborough’s wine region. Broomfield House Garden Cottages is located just 200 metres off the main state highway between Blenheim, Havelock and Nelson highway, also known as SH6.

We are a short five minutes’ drive from the airport, 10 minutes to Blenheim and 30 minutes to Picton at the head of the magnificent Queen Charlotte Sounds. Thirty minutes towards Nelson is the beautiful seaside town of Havelock, home of the green lip mussel and gateway to the Keneperu and Pelorus Sounds.

Renwick itself offers all the all the necessities you may require for your travels; supermarket, chemist, post office, petrol station all within a short stroll.

Neighbouring Broomfield House is the famous Cork and Keg Irish Pub, a friendly Irish style pub that is a must – enjoy good food, hospitality and great selection of locally produced wines and beers.
